Andre is a trained Building Maintenance and Cleaning Consultant with over 30 years experience in the provision of janitorial service contracts, post construction cleaning, floor restoration, fire restoration, flood clean-up, restroom care and microbial (mold and mildew) remediation. He is certified in the application and restoration of all types of floors and has provided his unique skills to the hotel and hospitality industry, manufacturing plants, industrial establishments, luxury Homes, condominiums, private homes and business enterprises in the USA and St Lucia. He has provided consultancy services for several business establishments on cleaning protocols for effective floor and restroom care.
Andre holds certification in Wood Sanding & Finishing, Marble and Granite Polishing, Hard Surface and Carpet Care, Restroom Cleaning and Mold remediation. He also holds professional certification in Hospitality Management, Fire Restoration and is an under-graduate of University of Massachusetts School of Management in Leadership and Team Effectiveness. He was the recipient of several awards in the Boston District, Massachusetts USA for Sales Representative of the Year 1989 and International Interclean Award for Innovation in 1998, where he simultaneous operated a business in floor care maintenance and sales representative for cleaning products and ad specialties.
Dr Thecla Fitz Lewis served as the Caribbean Regional Business Development Consultant for Laureate International Universities (LIU). She was instrumental in ensuring that LIU’s high quality undergraduate, graduate and specialized degree programs offered to the Caribbean region, included modular content that served the training needs of Public and Private sector organizations.
Thecla held several Executive roles regionally and internationally, and lectured in, among other subjects, Human Resource Management, Supervisory Skills, Corporate Strategies, Sales and Marketing, Leadership Development, Tourism and Hospitality. She assisted several organizations with business strategies in developing skill sets, cost-cutting measures, improved business performance and safety procedures in the use of cleaning solutions and cleaning protocols.
Thecla serves on several boards of governance in the Caribbean region and the USA, and uses her strong communication and interpersonal skills, decision-making, strategic thinking and leadership competencies to advocate for small business enterprises, young entrepreneurs and disenfranchised youth. She has developed and led several on-the-job training initiatives for secondary school drop-outs and skills development training for single mothers, unskilled and unemployed persons in rural communities, and business consultancy services to start-up businesses through CDB, OAS, CIDA and EU grant funded projects. She hosted a monthly television program in Dominica focusing on the direct benefits of online education to human capital development, for the learner, the organization and the community. She also holds professional membership with several International Women Organizations.
Thecla holds formal qualifications in Corporate Strategies, Strategic Human Resource Management, International Business, Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Technology, Dressmaking and Fashion Designs. She is a Certified Hospitality Department Trainer, and an Industry Certified Expert in Cleaning Industry Management Standards. She completed an MBA in International Organization Behavior and International Marketing and a DBA in Leadership and Organizational Psychology. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and Fellow Member of International Leadership Management.
